car paint looks shiny but it does have a mirror shine,
the first guitar i built for this kid chip, we usd auto paint, his dad proffessionally sprayed cars, so that was the logicaly choice at the time,
it looked good from afar, but when you got up close everything looked wavy and distorted.
have you ever looked at a car somewhee and been like.
"wow that paint finish is perfect!"
its usually wavy looking and distorted.
your best bet is to find someone that paints with laquer.
aug does really good stuff, its too cold in indiana for me to do it at themoment, there is a fellow that i know in VA that has painted more guitars than fender..... i think there are a few other people as well.
you could always try and do it yourself, its rather time comsuming but the end projduct looks amazing and will have you FLOORED!
