Too-Old Hi, This is my 1st. post, i'm new to the Mustang world, and need some info. I'm building a Duo from parts, and the ebay body i won may be unuseable. Can someone tell me the thickness of the body for a 1966 duo-sonic II body??? Thanks
robertoriginal those old bodies were especially thin.36.84 mm's is what i gathered fromy my body with the paint stripped off.why is the body you bought unusable?
Too-Old It appears to have sanded to remove old finish and when neck is installed almost all of truss rod nut is exposed, also i'm not sure it is a real Fender or a home built.
robertoriginal the neck pocket should be 5/8ths deep, and don;t forget that when the pickguard is on you will still see about half of the truss rod, maybe a bit less.are you usuing a real duo sonic neck?can you post pics?
Too-Old I gave up and returned the body to seller. It needed too much woodwork. Thanks for your responses.........
