robertoriginal did you notice that the saddles arre some wierd brass jaguar style saddle.and he has about 4 vintage strats that he wants 20-46 grand each.

Mad-Mike Two Red Flags- The Brass Saddles, I don't ever recall seeing those on a Mustang, much less any guitar.- The Bridge Cover, from what I recall, Mustangs did NOT come with a bridge cover, especially in the 1970's.
yoreel My 65 still had its original bridge cover when I bought it.As far as I am aware they were available in the early 70's, I have seen them on guitars from that era - its quite easy to tell the original covers from the repro's. I don't know whether they were optional extras or a standard part - does anyone know ?

robertoriginal the best way would be to look at the posts one the bridge, the vintafe stuff kinda had a bubble around the posts(on the top) and the newer stuff has a ring around the top.i think its an original bridge, just replaced saddles,probly from a bigsby.
bassintom I know years back you could get mustang necks from fender with a brass nut so maybe the brass saddles were available.(I bought a new neck for my 69 stang back in 1980 and I ordered a brass nut straight from fender, I think it was under $100 at the time)
zontar $2,850.00?Maybe I should sell mine!As much as I love my mustang--and it's just about a deadringer for this one (Well, I don't have brass saddles or a bridge cover--but same finish with a rosewood neck.)--I don't think my Mustang is worth anywhere near that much.
