Jaguar HH Paint Job

Hey everyone.

I've had this Fender Jaguar for about 5 months, such a cool guitar.

It came with modded pickups. Seymour Duncan SH-1 in the Neck and SH-4 at in the Bridge.

I only have one problem with the guitar, and that is the COLOR!

I'm sick of the bland Black color so much.

I was wondering where exactly I could get a nice Sunburst paint job.......(I'm in the Philly area if anyone is available. haha)

hmm....and what would I do with the black headstock? gahhh I'd love it to be just the normal wood. Would I have to buy a new neck?

and I'd probably get a red pickguard.

any suggestions????

The body and headstock would have to be stripped down to the bare wood. Those bodies are either 2 or 3 piece bodies, so if that line wouldn't bother you, then yeah, you could sunburst it.

You won't need a new neck, you'll just have to get a decal, a can of Reranch's tinted clear, and a can of regular clear to make the headstock look like it should.

As for the sunburst, I have no idea where you would go, but at the reranch forum, you could probably find someone fairly local to you that you could deal with directly.

i can done two sunburst finishs, and not to toot my own horn but. toot toot, they are great bursts!

i would do it, but to be honest, im way too busy at the momeny with my body orders and i would charge you too much.

you may want to try daytion ohio, a store called hauer, they could be anywhere from 2-6 hours away from you but i can garentee they do quility stuff there.

I'm not a fan of sunburst but I always think you need some nice grain showing through for it to look really good. I'm guessing that even ignoring the joins in the wood it's not going to look that attractive.
