take it to a tech and get a good setup for it!

what kinda of music do you play normally?

i think the stock pups are fine but most people like to change them out for hot rails. jb's etc.

definitly get a setup done for it. most places charge around 20-45 dollars for a complete setup depending on what needs to be done.

Well, I won't need to pay for a setup my neighbor used to do setups/work on guitars at his own store for a while, he just retired, I can get him to do it for free.

As far as music, I mainly play grunge and classic rock.

There is a great set up thread on here your man oughta check, it is a tried and tested winner. Other than that the Jag-Stang is a great guitar although you may want to upgrade the bridge pup depending on your requirements at some point. 😉

Thanks, right before I checked back on this topic I bookmarked the set-up guide, and intonation guide. The guy was wanting to sell it for 1200$ but I managed to get him down to 550$.

$550 is a good price based on todays market. I sold a JS for $600 three months ago and was unlucky, on UK ebay you can expect to pay $850 at the moment.
