If ya have the tools making your own neck is the only way. And...speaking of 24" scale I can't find a 24" neck for sale. I just started one today for a Jaguar myself.
I have big hands and I hate the std. 1-5/8" neck width at the nut (it is almost unplayable for me). I also don't like the Jazzy/Jag 7.25" FB radius and I think 10-12" works much better (but thats just me). It is also so much nicer to be able to profile the back to suite your own hands or the hands of the player that will use the guitar and pick the frets you like (jumbo, medium, small or whatever). There are a lot of choices you can control: Tuners, truss rod style, headstock design........
However, then you have to buy all those darn tools.
