What Kind Of Pickups?

I bought a jag-stang a couple of years ago, and the sound of it still great, although i definatly need new pickups because the stock ones i have now just dont have enough bite to them, any suggestions on what kind i should get??

Depends what you want and music you play?

If your looking for a traditional all-round good humbucker the seymour duncan JB is a popular choice, or if you want more low end for metal tones you could get a seymour duncan Pearly Gates or even an EMG.

I found the single coil neck pickup to be quite satisfactory but if i had to choose an upgrade i would definitely fit a DiMarzio YJM.

Yeah, the kinda music i liek to play is liek the grundgy stuff, i like switching from clean to destortion alot, kinda liek the nirvana stuff. i was looking at putting sum emgs in but im not sure how i can wire that because of the seperate switch for it. bu i might look into a seymour duncan humbucker, maybe even a dimarzio but i havent found any good ones i like.

If you pm 'mad mike' he will probably guide you on the fitting of an EMG, he has one in his JS. They dont come cheap though and for your requirements you could be overspending.

For grungey stuff you would be fine with most upgrade humbuckers. DiM super distortion, SD JB, etc.
