i have a mid 90's 69' reissue thats been beat to hell, so i finally got the chance to play the new 65 reissue and well, mine just doesnt cut it anymore.....i said ####it, called up warmoth and ordered a new alder body in black, a tortoise pickgaurd 1sc 1hb, and a new control plate...came to 418.00 with shipping not too bad..compared to payin $700 has anyone here ordered a replacement body from them, and if so are there any placemnt problems with the hardware???

they routinly say that there parts are to fit there bodies, but im under the impression that its a legal thing and everything will fit just fine.

what makes you think your 69 is any worse than the newer65's?

I think it was the basswood that was killing me although after i threw in the high output hb it helped alot, the 65's poplar just seemed to have twice as much sustain.....
