Rumours for 2008

Herad a rumour that theres gonna be a jag released next year with a bigsby on it....I got this from a guy who works for the custom shop so it sounded like it could be true but who knows? Anyone else heard any whispers?

personally i think they should stop screwing around and come out with a 75 re-issue, sunburst with a black guard, white hats, bound and block neck.

that would sell no doubt!

and the maple and black block would sell like crazy too!

imagine it

allwhite, maple board, black binding and blocks, and maybe even gold hardware, i hate gold hardware but on a few jags it looks alright.

I like the look of the jaguar, but i want a matt black, twin 'bucker hardtail with an ebony fretboard and block inlays.

If anyone uses photoshop, knock me up a picture and post it so we can see what it'd look like.

Dude, a floyd rose is the best tremelo system, the Fenders don't even come close.

I dont see the point in a bigsby model either. Although, because of the body size it would aesthetically work.

Gotta agree with rob here, they should stop screwing around with an already great design.

I just can't bare to watch a Bigsby bridge on a Jag but hey, that's just like my opinion. 😉

The Jag vib would be smoother than a B5 and a B3 would give a very similar shimmery effect to the Jag vib (and also it wouldn't fit). So it does seem a bit pointless. If anyone really wanted to do it surely they'd already have put a B5 on an HH.

A quick look at the good ol' Cambridge University Press Dictionary describes it as:

I'm not sure about the idea of a Bigsby on the Jag (I know a few have put similar trems on their Jag HH's), but I like the fact that Fender dares to experiment with their classics. I mean, how big of a deal is it? They will still keep the traditional models around. If Fender had been that conservative from the start then there wouldn't be any Jags at all.

Umm, it's already been done. For years I thought I was the first to think that up (around 1995-1999 PJ (PRE Jaguar).

Musiccraft...Mastercraft...I dunno, something CRAFT Jaguar with a Floyd and Buckers.

It's easy to understand why people come up with these ideas, it's because of all the bashing of those bridges on the offset/shortscaled guitars. Ever since Kurt Cobain said the Mustang Bridge sucked, and some lesser knowledgeable to guitars, some not knowing the differences between a Jaguar and a Mustang, and the fact that it's not a boring, easy to identify trem system makes most want to change it with something more "mainstream" like a TOM or a Floyd. I know, because that was my original intent before actually having a chance to play those guitars. It took me 8 years to find ONE Jaguar I could get my hands on a shop.

Had this long upcoming project been designed 8 years ago, it woulda' had a Floyd and a Humbucker. I dunno when I'll have the money to start though.

i have seen a mustang with a kahler before, it was horrid, i hope you are not serious when you say that the floyd is the best trem out there......

its got to be one of the most idiotic designs ever. to me a floyd is a prototype bridge that instead of actually desigining it properly they got to to prototype stage and said " ah hell, it works, send it out!"

I've always admired your angle mike, but a floyd rose on an offset just is'nt right.

I played a lot of metal years ago and predictably owned several Ibanez models and Jackson but never liked the Floyd Rose. The locking nut on them guitars is gash as well. Ewww.
