I own a '66 mustang. I had a JB jr in it before I swapped it out for SD hotrails. I found that the hotrails dont have as much high end that the JB jr had. So between the two, I was so pissed about the sound of the hotrails that while screwing around with the pots I wired the volume wrong and now it acts as an extra tone knob. Heres the thing though, The pickups get brighter when I roll the vol/tone knob down. When its rolled up the hotrails original sound returns. If I need to turn the guitar down I just switch the pickup off. Im happy enough with the sound as is, but would like to know what I did. I dont have the JB JR anymore.
