a while back a fellow named phil asked if i could show him how to make a guitar and then build one for him/with him.
and this is what we came up with.
its an original body design with a gibson flying v style neck(maple)
with a maple fretboard
the body is his old bar which was knotty pine(ugh!)
two bill larence humbuckers with two push pull pots and a three way toggle.
strandard strat style trem.
we are still waiting on the tuners and the pots from allparts tho...
took us about 3 weeks altogether.
btw its a set neck and the neck has been oiled, the fretboard was laquerd.
and the body is a poly finish
(we did all three so that way he had the experience of using all three types)
