for me to get a block inlay neck for my js? Do i have to make it or custom order it(warmoth)? Dumb questions but..... I'd appreciate if you'd help me.

Warmoth won't do block inlays on their mustang/jag-stang necks. Your best bet would be to buy one of the old jaguar necks that had block inlays and binding off of ebay if you ever see one come up.

No, it's not the right scale.

You can take existing necks to luthiers and they can do inlays, but it will be expensive as they would have to sand back the neck, put the new inlays in (involves cutting the fretboard) and then refinish it.

refinish it? fretboards don't have a finish do they?

ages ago sickened was talking about usacustomguitars who would apparantly do a 24" neck with blocks.

a luthier is someone who makes guitars. find one and he/she will be able to add blocks to your neck. it will probably cost a lot.

If you worked very slowly and carefully I reckon it would be easy to install blocks into a neck. I'd use a stanley knife to cut the shapes, scrape out the middle (very, very carefully) with a chisel, then glue the (bought, not homemade) blocks in with some wood glue. I think binding would be a lot harder. To do it well anyway.
