And that's Ron Wood playing it, who joined in '76...IRRC, the '81 US tour was the first time Jagger played guitar on stage & he was using a Jag or 2.... at least one was a dark green (a local music store has an original pic from that tour where he's got a dark green Jag).

When you ask Fender, stratocaster says EVRYBODY. That's why I'm changing my name to F. Uck Strats. That way when I get famous, they'll put out the F. Uck Strats signature Stratocaster.

it's absolutely true. I tell non-musician friends I have a Mustang and a Jag-Stang and they usually have no idea what I'm talking about.

Does anyone else find it curious that one of the biggest & richest stars was playing a counterfeit guitar? Think about it, the guy could afford to play fukkin '59 Les Pauls if he wanted to & 25 years ago Jags were dirt fukkin cheap...maybe he got taken thinking it was the real deal? OR was the serviceman only used for the video shoot where it gets smashed through a wall (I don't recall the video mentioned-is that cd cover a still from it?)

I bet Mick got one for the same reason many of us did-it's something different (& no one else in the band had one). But how'd he end up w/a fake?
