I just recently purchased a 04' American Vintage Jazzmaster and not to happy with the brige pickup, it sounds weak, the neck seems to be fine. I think Im going to look into getting the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound for it..I was wondering if anyone has this pickup and changed they're American Jazzmaster pups with it, and if they like it or not. Plus are they any better suggested pups out there that I should look into. In defense to this whole statement, I like the sound of the jazzmaster alot and like how it plays, Its just when I use any kind of distortion it sounds pretty damn weak, I dont want to loose that nice Jazzmaster sound undistorted. Plus if if anyone knows where to get black pup covers that would be greatly appreciated too..thanx
