Finally got a Strat.

MIM, but no worries, it is a beatiful instrument.

This is one of the new upgraded Standard models that's been on the market for about a year now, I think. Larger bridge blocks for better sustain and tuning, and electronics have new shielding paint to prevent hum. I'm really siked about it.

yes, I am indeed happy.

I used to play a Fender Mustang, but because of comfort, and tonal issues, I went for the Strat, and I'm not looking back really...the 'Stang was mostly aesthetically pleasing...other than that, it sounded like a scratchboard and there were no contours on the body, which made for much discomfort.

But I'm really amazed by the versatility of the Strat though...

I've never played one either. The only time i've ever seen them mentioned anywhere was in the Walmoth options page a few years ago.

The Jeff Beck signature has a heel contour, as well as all the guitars in the American Deluxe Series.

One of the best playing guitars I owned was a early 90's mim stratocaster. Damn I miss that guitar.

One thing I noticed is the uncanny ability for the thing to stay in tune...in just a week I've probably had to tune it...like 2 times...3 tops. I guess I'm used to the damn Floating Tremelo bridge (something that I will never want to deal with again...except maybe a Jazzmaster 😆 )

I also still need to go and buy a tremelo arm...it didn't come with one, unfortunately...

And I've been pleasantly suprised with the amount of attack this guitar has...and the maple neck has really opened up my playing and made things come out of me that I didn't know were there....what can I say...I'm under the spell of the Almighty Stratocaster

I have a clapton strat.....and SRV strat....a 50's reissue MIJ strat with texas specials....but it is the MIM Strat I bought for a friend I am jealous of. Love the neck.

Yup. So does the custom shop Strat Pro and Tele Pro. But I think that is the extent of stock Fender instruments w/ contours, other than the Showmaster series, that is.

you can purchase more springs to put on the trem. I'd make sure at least 5 are on there. You probably have 2 or 3.
