What's a MINT Original worth?!?!

Hello everyone, new to this forum, but have been lookin for a Jag-Stang since they've been around! I know someone that has an original 95-96, without a scratch, never played & still with the orginal price tags, still ON the guitar!! What would be the most you would pay for such a treasure?!

I wouldn't have thought that it'd go for anymore than a reissue.

The originals and the "reissues" are almost identical except for a few stickers. Really you only paying for the serial number, thats it. (except for left and right handed as well, left handed arent as common)

the really early originals didn't have one of the stickers, and nor did the later ones. the reissues aren't even really reissues.

Aha! That would make perfect sense, as Fender was founded in 1946, making 1996 the 50th year, hence the stickers... Also, my Mustang reissue (94-95) begins with T(+6digits) - Here is awesome info from the Fender website telling what date the serials are from: http://www.fender.com/support/dating/japanese_dating.php scroll way down to the bottom!

So, this means any Jag-stang having serial #'s starting with V(+6digits) were 1996-1997 & any Jag-stang starting with Q(+5digits) were from 2002-2004.

yeah, except those dates are vague at times, and some are actually +6 where they say +5
