hagstoms back then were built like crap too.
i have played a 67(or so) haggy bass that is so damn thin it sounds good!~ but when re-stringing it you really do need to do one string at a time or else there is too much tension on the neck and it started to arch like crazy.
i have also played a hagstrom 12 string that the nut was cut really badly and the octave low e and high e were off the sides of the neck.
on the plus side some of thier designs were ingenius.
i used to have a univox 12 string that sounded really cool and jangly.
looked nice and was put together well. but.... it was lacking in the quility tuner department, and the wood was cheap laminent crap.
