Wouldnt a strat or jazzmaster neck fit on a mustang/jaguar/jag-stang, because arent all the necks the same size only the the placement of the bridge?

am i correct of incorret?

incorrect. buy a start neck with 22 frets and mustang neck with 22 frets and then compare.

Jaguar and mustang are the same scale neck, i think

and jazzmaster is the same as a strat...i think

there are different scale necks

24,25.5 (inches from bridge to nut) 22 as well. not 100% sure, others here know more than i do.

yeah, jazzmasters and strats are 25.5" where as jaguars and mustangs are 24", the only way to cross breed them would be to either move the bridge back and spoil the bridge pickup or fit the neck an inch and a half forward in the pocket, which is bad too.
