yeah i like the deluxe because of the strat headstock but there both good

I had the 72 tele deluxe. The sound is very chunky and full of bass. I would always keep it on the bridge pick up but then it would be too treably but then again I was young and probably had no idea what I was doing or what sound I wanted to acheive

Yeah, the Tele looks so much better without that ugly headstock.

I tried a 72 deluxe a while ago and I have to say that it was really unbalanced in terms of sound. I think it will need a few mods for me to like it. But it looks really really good. It's hard to choose the finish though, because both black and walnut looks great.

i watched a bunch of music vids and shows and i have to say teles and tele dulux are very popular every band had one bloc party had two

Yeah just about every indie band in the UK seems to play um, cant say i blame um tele's are awesome guitars.. but its one of the reasons i've started playing the offset fenders, to be different from the crowd haha

Now I can't get that 72 deluxe out of my head. I guess I will just have to buy it.

Can't really justify it though since I just bought a Jag. But I guess I can try to sell one of my other guitars first.

Now the real question is: black or walnut? I'm leaning towards walnut since it is a bit more unique looking and I usually grow tired of one-colored instruments. But then again, the black one looks awesome too.
