i dig the shortscale thing cuz i learned to paly on a flamenco style acoustic that had a 23 inch scale, and my first electric was an epi strat that was a 24 3/4, then i got a jag-stang, jaguar, and all that great stuff,
i still really like a 25.5 sometimes tho, it has that great SNAP! that is associated with tele's
i like the shortscale stuff more for the feel of the strings, the tension is jut right and the trem systems seem like they work best with a shorter scale.
plus the sound is great you can get a tinny sounding amp but with the short scale you gain a lil bit more low end becuz of the shorter length and less tension thing.
plus i can close my eyes and play a shortscale just fine, a normal scale screws me up after the 7th fret or so.
