my mustang neck mesed up?

my mustang neck is pissing me off the low E string is so highup its almost hanging off the fretboard i tried adjusting the truss rod but maybe not enough help please

It's not a truss rod issue.

If by "hanging off the fretboard" you mean that the low E is further away from the A string than it should be, then it's more than likely that the neck is miss-alligned.

Detune a few steps, unscrew your neck screws, push the neck hard into the pocket, tighten the screws again and retune.

Try that and see what happens.

yeah it did help but im still having a bit of trouble

take it to a tech and have them give you a setup

and if you are nice about it they may tell you what to do, or what they did to fix the problem

well im good friends with the people at the music store that i used to take lessons from and they should help me out

I saw a book by Dan Erlewine. What he did is he shifted the neck towards low E. But this required him to scrape off a bit of the pick guard and the neck pocket.

I'm not doubting Dan Erlewine's skill as a tech, but if the guitar hasn't had a butcher near it, it should just need a neck remounting (as mentioned earlier).

I can't see how a guitar would just misalighn without force in such a way that you'd have to reshape the neck pocket and pickguard to get it back on par.
