A bit off topic. But is it really that hard to learn how to play "right handed" as a left handed person?
I only know three left handed guitarists, but all of them play right handed, and rather well I might add. One of them is also a drummer and he say that he can't understand left handed drummers who use a mirrored kit as it doesn't make things any easier in the long run (especially not since drummers often borrow kits).
I understand that it's hard to switch over when you have been playing lefties for a long time though. Probably as hard as it is for me to play a left handed guitar, but I doubt that I'd have any problems if I had started out with lefties. In fact, it makes more sense to use the "good" hand for fingering and the lazy one for strumming.
Perhaps some left handed people can't play normal guitars as easily as others though, that's why I'm wondering I guess.
