No. It would probably burn the motor out after destroying half a dozen cutters.
Most guitars are hardwood so you need decent router that will perform at a certain speed and power.
Most DIY routers will do it (Bosch, Black & Decker, etc.) and you will need a straight flute cutter. Size: one that will go to the depth you want.
But remember. Routers can be dangerous tools, secure the body to a work table, wear goggles and take timber out in small ammounts. Trying to route the full depth straight away will screw everything up.
