i've been working on the neck recently. After I took this photo I glued the fretboard on. It has a double-expanding trussrod in it from stew-mac. They are better than I thought. It has the vintage X adjustment on the heel.

I've been working on Dunx's Mustang Ferrington too, thanks for you patience, I'll finish these projects eventually, i'm flat-out at the moment.

do you make guitars fulltime or do you have another job?

The problem I have is: The workshed I use is at my parents house, which is 15 minutes away from where I live, but I don't have a car.

I have a crappy call centre job, which only takes up four hours everynight. I visit my parents once a week, in this time I work flat-out on the guitar projects. Plus, I'm always broke, so it's hard for me to get the funds together to order parts.

just some more pics, since I stuck the fretboard on. The pearl dots are really nice. It's unradiused at the moment until I receive the router bit i ordered for the binding. shipping takes forever.

I am going to radius it, 7.25 just like all mustangs, jag-stangs etc, I just need to route the binding channel first.

What do you use the shape the neck and radius the fretboard, cross? I've seen a few different methods, and curious as to what you prefer.

i use a router for the whole headstock and heel, using craftwood templates. I use a radiused sanding block for the fretboard, it's accurate enough as long as it's straight.

I'm going to radius the fretboard tomorrow. 7 1/4 radius.

This is going to be a difficult bloody thing to fret.

That is soo nice! Only question I have is about that line at the neck/headstock, it is quiet clear in all the photos. I thought maybe neck is multipieced but the grains match. I'm just wondering wat the line is.

It's all one bit of wood. I routed the thickness of the headstock to that line, so that afterwards I can round that area off into the nut area. I hope that makes sense, if not, well, ya gotta trust me on this one.
