Who ever made it said they were still looking for good examples of how fiesta red are different well i found some on ebay

I would say they are about the same, it's just the top one has the flash more aimed at the fretboard where as the other one has it on the body.

My fiesta red JS looked orange on some pics which i thought was cool.

I dont think there is any variation as in inconsistency of factory finish, its more like Tool said..the light and flash can slightly change the colour you see.

Some ppl thought Fender made some surf green JS's, obviously they did'nt. It was sonic blue in different light.

i think that too, but it shows how they can look different, just wanted to contribute tp the site. but my sonic blue js is way lighter than my stang

the first time i saw a re-issue and i compared it to my j.s. i thought they had changed up the color a bit but then i relized that no, actually it was the 10 years of cig smoke damage to my j.s.

the top one is farther away form the camera, so it looks smaller

I've been looking for information on Jag-stang 's colors for a long time.

Mine looks surf green under any kind of light and i've seen it next to a sonic blue one.

The sonic blue had indeed a greenish look but it was definitly blue and mine green. I bought it used but there're no hints of refinishing. In fact the two guitars side by side had the same differences as on the "many colors of the jag-stang" pictures.

I'll take pictures as soon as I can.

it could be from smoke that the paint has absorbed over the years. there is a lot of factors that can change the color a little

i have an origial 96 that i picked up in like 97 or so and when i compared it to an 04 mine looked incredibly green compared to the newer issue, but im a heavey smoker and so is everyone else that i live with and have lived with in the past so naturally mine has changed colors before. i also compared it to a 96 a couple years ago and it was definitly a lil bit greener than the other 96.

the only good thing about ciggarettes. they stain your guitar like an old blues ax.
