Grounding Problems with jag-stang mod

Hello, I have a jag-stang which has been in pieces in a closet for the last 8 years since I mangled it attempting to paint it. Long story short I put it back together, useing the mods available on this site, The switches work as they should to select pickups , the other to bypass the tone, and the other both volume and tone, however the thing buzzes like it isent grounded right, I tried lineing the inside of all the cavities with aluminum tape, as the black paint had been partially eroded from paint stripper. Still buzzes, I'm ready to put it back in the closet for another 8 years , Any ideas to ground it properly?

I cant remember that was 8 years ago, I do know someone had messed with all the wireing before i owned it. I know its not grounded right because when I touch the chrome cover for the pots it stops buzzing. I tried correcting it by soldering wire from the back of one pot to the next and then to the other prong on the back of the input. I was a little unsure if that was a good idea, helped a tiny bit. A lot of the grounding in that schematic goes to the switches, they don't seem to be made too solidly so I'm not sure where I've gone wrong. I also tried running a wire from one of the switches under the metal bridge plate, that did little to help.

its fairly normal to have a buzz and then have it stop when you touch the metal but if it seems like its way too much then you might try a few different things.

make sure that all the plates are grounded to eachother.

i.e. the switches, pups, pots, and trem unit, this should eliminate the most obvious, then make sure that all pots/switches are grounded where they should be, and not only to eachother.

does that make any sense?

do u play your guitar near a machine like a furnace or somthing because mine also buzzes because of that, but once i play somwhere else its fine

tru, playing in front of a computer/tv/stero, or even certain phones will cause a hum or cliocking sounding to interfere with it.

Sorry about that delayed response.

Everything is grounded according to the schematic. Household items are not affecting the signal, as all of my other guitars work properly in the same location. However I did notice that there were wires in the corners of the rocker switches, which were factory soldered, I am not sure now where these were, or if they are meant to be there with the modification. These grounds have been removed, I just tried putting one where I thought it may have been, and I have no signal anymore. I am wondering where these were, and if they are supposed to be moved or removed from this rewiring modification.

Yeah,

I didnt even do a mod but I dld the schematic and I had wires in mine that werent even on the schematic. So that schematic is not a good tool to help.
