hello, ive just gotten the 62 reissue rosewood,and just wanted to she is a stunning creation.the looks,feel,the sonic soundscape now possible to me is fantastic. i was never a tone/gear head and have been using cheap strat copies for years, but have deff seen/heard the light!!. i tried simmilar priced-teles/prs/strats/ but none sound or felt quite like the jag, its truly a unique guitar. i play it thru a roland cube 60 and mostly smiths/roses/modest mouse type stuff. just wanted to share this with you. top marks on the forum, interesting and often very funny cheers

yes it is. american vintage 62 jaguar,sunburst. is it better/worse for being american? i dont know much about the differences just that it plays n sounds like a dream-and is the coolest looking guitar in the world!

was just actually listening to "The Seahorses", an anti-jangle moment for Squire, none the less RAW and NASTY genius!

Just received "inside the smiths" dvd - interesting watch for sure. Andy Rourke - so under-rated!

Some of those leads on The Seahorses album are just badass, i don't have it to hand, i'm looking for it though, been about two years since i listened to that!

my jag had a sudden thump and has now developed a major unplugged buzz. is their any particular area of the jag that i should have looked at, or will any guitar tech be able to sort it easy enough? i know nothing about the innards and would not be doing any repairs myself. i also got a question wrong-its japanese. i am the most beelin guy in glasgow at moment and any help would be welcome cheers

You've knocked a solder joint off somewhere, it's not a huge fix at all, take a look inside, locate the loose wire and solder it back to it's original position. Twenty mins tops, and that's with scratching your nuts alot too.

ta much for the response. i have also learned that my next purchase will be a hardshell case. the padded gig bag is no protection in the boot of a car if you get rear-ended!! Ill post the pricing when i know. cheers

When you you say unplugged buzz that rules out the electronics right?

The only thing i can think of is the trem lock button may now not be in the locked position and was before. If the trem tension is set wrong moving the button over would effect the guitar.

Did it stay at standard pitch after the sudden thump?

the bridge and trem were both moved - guitar guy sorted it in minutes at no charge. think i panicked a little due to only having it for 5 days-so a big thanks to everyone who took the time to reply. darr? is inside the smiths any good? the last smiths dvd i got was -under review- and there was not much that i hadnt seen or heard before. cheers
