you are right its basswood.
ALTHO basswood and poplar are from the same linden tree, or family or whatever, an ol redneck told me, not sure how much merit it has, but they are both very similer in wieght, density, grain, color, everything.
does anyone know what the NEW 65's are made of?
i kow they went all out with copper shielding and cloth wiring, perhaps they used alder on those to be more exact. from what i hear the newest mustangs are as a good as if they were to produce an american version.
