Fender Sig. Series Getting Bland?

there is an exact copy of kurts jag from fender japan isnt there? i got the impression it was only available over there.

I wouldn't mind one myself if i didnt already have a jag,

I do think the signiture selection is a bit poor (i checked it the other day) there must be other stuff out there.

On strats, i do find them over used but not over rated, there is a 'perfect guitar' quality to them, everything about them works but i did shy away as i was allured by the cult status of the jag.

Personally I never liked foo fighters than much, not enough detail and texture to the sound for my liking. That may be somewhat ignorant of me but music is sound, if it sounds bad then it is bad really, not to say the foos sound bad though.

haha, Another Tool, you gotta send me the link to that....and to the last message..yeah it sucks that we have to somehow find ways to get a Kurt Jag from Japan...but what can ya do? I'd love it if they made one here in the U.S.

I'd like a Kurt Cobain signature model of the Jaguar. I don't really mind using the "underground" guitar, I know this sounds childish, but if Mustangs and Jaguars were the popular guitars, I probably would be into Strats and Teles.

On the side subject, I don't think the Foo Fighters are anywhere near as big as Nirvana, they're popular, but they weren't like the center of attention like Nirvana was. There was a huge focus on Nirvana. I like the Foo Fighters, but I don't know, theres just something about their sound that doesn't catch my ear, it doesn't really have as catchy a sound, and it's just not as "full" of a sound as Nirvana. I don't really know how to describe it, but whatever, it's just my opinion.

Its hard not to agree with you there, but thejags and stangs are just so appealing, it almost gives me wood

A+ Thread people! Mr. Tool, always in excellent form mate!!

I also would like to see some other Fender designs that were a little more towards the Jag and Stang. Or just some new designs.

Don't get me wrong, I love Stratocaster! It was my first guitar and I sometimes miss playing the 40th Anniversary Strat that I sold.

But the truth is, is that Fender makes more Strats and Tele's because of the huge range of those guitars.

Fender has milked those guitars for all they're worth though! When Fender releases something like the Harley Davidson Stratocaster, or whatever, then its a bit much, imo.

It would be nice for there to be more "Vista series" like/inspired guitars. Something that new guitarists/rising stars can make popular.

Now on the subject of "Whos bigger? Foo's or Nirvana??"

I think Nirvana are, as I have never seen 7 year old kids wearing Foo Fighters T-shirts!

They even make baby Nirvana Onesie's!!
