I just recently picked a Jag Stang from the neighborhood trash (the neck was sticking up out of the trash barrel - honest). It has a serial number of V004959 with 50th Ann sticker. I assume it is a '96. The guitar was definitely beat up. There were no pickups, pickguard, switches or tuners. I have replaced all that, set it up, and wired it up. The tremolo unit and bridge are hardly mint, but all does basically seem to work and the guitar holds tuning pretty well. Also, the trem bar is missing. By the way, it is a lefty. Unfortunately, I am right handed. Does anyone have any idea what a guitar like this (in still kinda beat but definitely playable) is worth? I'm not a collector - I like guitars I can play.
