bought this pickup a while ago brand new and wired it into my SG to find that it is considerably quieter than the pickup in the neck. I've checked several websites to see if it was put in wrong (including seymour duncans website) and I am pretty sure it isn't.

any ideas why it is so quiet?

when you put SD pick ups into guitars with other pick ups you have to change two wire, the one that hot and the colored ground(i think).

right now i have the green wire with the ground, the black as the hot, and the red and white taped off.

change the black and green and see if that does it

just out of curiousity, do you know what's in the neck position? i'm assuming stock, but like i said, just wondering.
