I have just started working on this 65 mustang , and I also am not used to these discussion groups, your my first.

The tremb [round] bar on mine is a bit different than I have been finding out on the fender info and sites. It is the one described on the standard mustang ,with the two threaded and pivoted bolts comming up from the base plate on which these bolts pivot. Anyone I speak to say there are two allen adj screws to adjust height. The holes are there but they arn't threaded. I adjust by screwing the bolts into the bar.... equally on each end. When I took the assembly apart, I didn't measure the distance from the bottom of the bar to the base plate, don't therefore have starting point..

Lots more ?'s for some Mustangers ....anyone out there who can help? and thanks

Are you sure that the springs are there ? The stop bar may have been bolted down with bolts.

The allen key should be an AF 1/16" I think from memory, & you should be able to adjust the height with that, through the holes at the top. Be careful though as being short scale, the strings are quite sloppy, I would recomend a tighter adjustment towards the body, this is only my preference though.
