MrMustache i've noticed something, guitar techs know more about the theory of relativity, than they do about jaguars.
mumblyjoe Thats probably true, as all they ever fiddle with are Strats, Teles, Gibsons and Ibanezs. Anything that ain't stoptale, strat trem or floyd rose, they dont know #### about.
gregkitten aye, well this guy knew his stuff. i was talking to him for a while when i collected it. he used to have a jag, we were discussing the bridge problems, etc. if anyone's in the SE England, i recommend him.
mumblyjoe We're talkin bout guitar techs in general. greg, I think your one must be a champ, very few I talk to know anything about wax potting. Occasionally you get people who are experts on one instrument and every make of it, they are useful if you own that instrument but not if you don't.
gregkitten well, this guy custom-builds guitars for a living, so he knows a lot outside of various makes of guitars, i guess.http://www.dm-guitars.co.uk/ is his site, some nice looking self-built guitars there.
triskadecaepyon If it touches the wrong part of your pickup, it will cause unwanted feedback because of ground loops.
