alternate tuning chords

I decided to try down tuning everything by one note to get like a standard D effect and I quite like it.

anyway, when using other alternate tunings does anyone have a resource or link for chord charts for using them?

if all strings are tuned one step down all normal chords work, there just a step down

oh my bad, i didnt catch that. i dont know any though. you could look up some weird SY tabs and see what theyre doing

You could look up "New Standard" tuning, that Robert Fripp invented, which goes:

6th- C

5th- G

4th- D

3rd- A

2nd- E

1st- G

I'm just getting into experimenting with it, some of the chord voicings are really expressive. I couldn't really tell you any proper chord shapes as yet though, in fact I don't think any of the ones I'm doing are even proper chords. 😆

I'd go for that. One of the Sonic Youth websites has a lot of tabs on there, i found the tuning for 'Silver Rocket' quite interesting.

Something like that. Its been a few years since i played that stuff, i got bored one night and tried a load of their tunings.
