C I J Jaguar TrussRod

Hi...on my Jaguar....the TrussRod is below the pickguard. Is this

the way it should be? Here's a .jpg

i'm pretty sure, being a reissue i'd have thought they'd replicate the original and put it at the bottom, not that it makes great sense.

But if its the original neck for the body then it must be right.

on my AV its half way and ther is a smzll gap in my pickguard

Weird. On mine its in the middles of the fretboard near the 11th fret.
