Looking for JS parts (Body etc)

Hey guys, long time reader here thought id join up and say hi!

BUT my misson is to find my self fist of all a jagstang body (Maybe even someone could make me one and ill pay for it) and then a neck.

Id like to get all my body and wiring together first tho.

So anyone with any parts for sale at all?

well robert(original) is our resident luthier and he can makes bodies, not sure about international shipping though.

jagstang bodies are pretty much non existant on ebay but warmoth make them (but they tend not to be compatible with nonwarmoth parts)

considering the only unique thing about the jagstang is the body everything else should be simple, except the decal.

Aye, robert(original) is your man or Warmoth (US parts retailer).

Most of the other parts are easily obtainable one way or other especially if you are not particular.

there are 2 unfinished js bodies floating around on ebay..the've been on there for like a week

otherwise look on ebay/craigslist.

those would be mine...they are perfect copies, sanded and accurate and we DO ship internationally.

just wondering, how would that save on shipping? he still has to pay to have it sent to you...

You made a body from poplar ...

correct me if I'm wrong, but from back when I somewhat knew something about what guitar was worth what, circa mid 90s, wasn't poplar what the cheap ones were made of?

Ermie Mosley (Mosrite Guitars) and Leo Fender actually preferred poplar for their guitar bodies. And, to answer your question: yes and no. Poplar is very readily available and cheap, but the grains are quite straight, you rarely have to deal with any knots and poplar can take quite a hit without denting. We also offer bodies in alder and mahogany as well.

A mahogany JS would be very interesting. My Fender Toronado GT (mahogany body) sounds like a hot Gibson, considering the hardware you would think any TOM equipped Fender would match it.... but they dont.

I believe the mahogany body is the key.

way ahead of you...built this over the winter...

P-90's and we swapped the white pg out for a B/W/B...looks TONS better. It's currently hanging on the wall at Eric's Guitar Shop and, according to Eric, it gets talked about daily. Imagine that... 😆
