Dropping in a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gate

I'm swapping out a bridge humbucker in my Fender Jag-Stang. The stock humbucker has just white wire going to a prong on a switch and a bare wire going to a different prong of the switch.

My new Humbucker (Seymour Duncan Pearly Gate) has a Red wire, white wire, green wire, black wire and a bare. Here instructions that came with it:

The instructions describe how to install it in a Les Paul style setup with separate volume controls and switch, but not on something like the Jag-Stang, where the bucker wires to the switch first and not the pots

How should I wire this thing in?

Solder the red and white wires together, then tape them off. the bare and green wire to a ground. the black wire to the switch. ( where the white wire from the stock pickup is wired)

I'm a noivce at best here. When you say green and bare to ground, where exactly is that and what does that mean?

If the switch to the bridge pickup is facing down, i'll label the prongs looks like this:

a-b-c-d

e-f-g-h

f and g are connected by solder together and that's where the black wire is attached to. Right now I have the green and bare attached to "a" on the switch, but it seems like that might be wrong based on what you're saying.

Also, I have it compeltely detatched from the input and i'm not sure how to reattach the black and white wires back to the pickups.

I know i'm a mess here, but i really appreciate your help!

black goes where old white one was, green and bare goes to where old black wire was.

What would the wiring look like if you wanted to have the bucker tapped in one of the two 'on' positions?
