I havent found this one in FAQ. What's the difference between pickguards on US made mustangs and Japanese reissues?

Well the neck cut out will be different by about 1mm, the screw holes are generally a little off and american ones may be made of better materials

so, a pickguard from a 65 mustang will NOT fit my '65 reissue.

I can't say for sure but american and jap parts won't cross over just like that, I'm not sure about US vintage to US reissue.

They usually say vintage jag pickguards don't fit US reissue ones but some say 'this pickguard will make a lovely addition to a US vintage or reissue jaguar' but I think thats just them trying to sell it.
