Jagstang neck

Nonexistant on ebay. Warmoth doesn't have the proper nut specs. Is there any other resource out there for me?

have a luthier make a replica neck. i double checked my j.s. seems my digis say 40.01.

can you honestly say that you feel that 1mm difference overall on your neck?

the only time i can tell a big string spacing difference is when i switch from my tele to a run o the mill gibson.

Just put a mustang neck on it.When I built my JS I used a neck off a '69 mustang.It works great.

or a Jaguar, Bronco, Musicmaster or Duo-Sonic II neck.

Is the original Jagstang neck more like the jag or the mustang one ?

I'm a lefty and a friend of mine lent me his mustang for few weeks, I like it a lot ( and the neck especially ), but I need a warmer PAF sound on the bridge, a mod that would be easier to apply on a jagstang someone want to sell me 😉

i dont have the specs, but they are all 24", and 7.25, the difference is in width at the nut. i dont know if you knew that already or not, but though it might be helpful.

It's supposed to be a copy of KC's Jaguar neck. So it would make sense that its more or less a '64 Jaguar copy neck. Don't know how many changes in Jaguar necks were made over the years, but I know that the ones that had binding in the mid-sixties had a different feel to them than the pre-CBS necks. Don't know exactly what they did spec wise, but I had the opportunity to A/B a '64 pre-CBS Jaguar and a '66 Jaguar (w/ binding and block inlays) at my local GC. Both were sunburst and in beautiful condition. The '64 played and sounded way better, hands down.

Seems like i read somewhere the Jag-Stang neck was made to the specs of his '69 Comp stang....
