A capacitor's a capacitor, you don't get ones that take out bass and ones that take out treble, they're all the same.
An interesting thing I found out while I was re-wiring my jag though, most people seem to think that when the basscut is on the circuit runs through the capacitor, this isn't the case. The capacitor adds bass, and is on in the circuit while the basscut is disengaged. When you switch the basscut on you're cutting the capacitor out of the circuit. In that regard the natural sound of a Jaguar's pickups is in fact when the basscut is on.
On that note Phaeton, if you felt like it you could add another capacitor, a higher value one, to the other end of the switch, and that would most likely have the desired effect.
Although of course then it wouldn't really be a Jaguar anymore.
