Yea, I think it's safe to call it a '65, although you can certainly mention the '64 neck. Also, I'm not sure if you are aware, but back in those days, necks, bodies, pups, elecs, neckplates, etc... were never in any particular order. Neck plates were simply dumped into a bin and miscellaneously grabbed as needed. I really don't think anyone at Fender thought that these guitars would be worth anything later on down the road. By late '65 the Kluson tuners were replaced with "F" tuners, but Klusons were still used, I assume, when they ran out of the F tuners. In fact, I've seen Klusons on necks made as late as 1969.
