Have any of you ever played or owned this cheap line of acoustic instruments? Ive owned 2 a Woods acoustic/electric cut away and a mandolin. I ended up parting with the mandolin, got in over my head on that one.....fat fingures + small frets = not for me...lol
But Im wondering what people think about them, I simply love my guitar the tone is rich and warm and the elctronics are very solid. Im not saying these guitars are on the same level as high end models. But I do beleive they are a diamond in the rough. I traded a Mossberg 500 20 gauge combo shotgun straight up for mine NIB. Ive seen my model sell NIB any where from 200-250. I dealer I traded with showed me the catalog he orders from, and the guitar I have is one of the highest priced they sell he had several diffrent models and everyone sounds amazing, especially for the price. 250 or less. The most expensive thing I saw was a acoustic/electric bass it listed for close to 500. The old man that runs this shop plays alot of bluegrass in the area. And he put up a old Martin and a Gibson Mockingbird in favor of the cheaper guitar. I think the main reason is he didnt want to carry those expensive instruments around any longer. But I think it still goes to show how good these sound just in order for him to play on over those 2 oldies. If you havent played one I strongly suggest to at least pick one up and strum around with it. I wouldnt be surprised to see you take it home.
Id add a link to their web site, but Ive lost it and its not up last I went there. You type Woods Instruments into a search box and you can find everything but Woods instruments...lol
