Gibson supposedly use the .047's on all their guitars, so i'm assuming that Fender just followed their trend and went with that, WRONG!
I haven't looked at that website, but i'd be suprised if the HSS strats have .022's as standard.
95% of websites on the net will tell you that if you use a humbucker, you need a .047 cap, so if you wouldn't know that the alternative sounds better, why would you change it?
Fender were lazy with the jagstang.
