Fran Me! 😉My Burgundy Mist has a 10's and a buzzstop. I only fitted it to compensate for the humbucker installed, as i was getting a lot of audible noise from behind the bridge. My other Jags have'nt got a buzzstop.
Richie Just out of curiosity, what makes you think the string gauge would make a difference to how whether the buzzstop would work?
Fran He's probably been reading the prehistoric Jaguar set up recommendations scattered around the internetz. To hear some people talk you need 13 gauge with a wound G string.. blah blah 🙄

tragictravisty i would think that low gauge strings would be the best, because they wouldn't warp the bridge? but i've never owned a guitar with a jag bridge
NBarnes21 I have .11 gauge strings on my JM with a buzzstop and they work great- I also have mustang saddles which helps the buzzing. I find that the buzzstop gives the guitar more sustain and better tone- high bends ring out a lot more. Probably not for surfers since they don't really look for much sustain.
