cyclone vs. tornado

Does anyone have an opinion on which ones better...If I was to say...buy one on ebay which would be worth the money? Im also hoping to get a jagstang on ebay someday.

Depends which model?

Cyclone I - MIM, 1 x humbucker, 1 x single, strat bridge.

Cyclone II - MIM, 3 x AVRI Jaguar single coils, comp stripes, strat bridge.

Toronado Deluxe - MIM, 2 x chrome covered Fender humbuckers

Toronado GT - MIK, 2 x Seymour Duncans, racing stripe

Toronado - American, 2 x 'dove' pickups.

Toronado reissue - MIM, 2 x exposed Fender humbuckers.

I can tell you from experience the Deluxe and GT Toronados are great. The GT is the most 'meaty' Fender i have ever owned.

Cyclone I's are usually the cheapest second hand of the whole bunch. Cyclone II's seem to be getting rare.

I like the look of the cyclone and humbuckers are definetely a plus...I probably get both eventually though

A good place to check these things out is 'Harmony Central user reviews', some of the reviews are very helpfull, some are hilarious and some are written by idiots.

Time is'nt on your side, the JS price has risen dramatically and the Toronado and Cyclone will shortly follow. Buy soon!

I'm just now starting to regret selling my Cyclone. They're really great guitars, I've not yet seen a bad Mexican Fender, though.

I've seen a Squier Cyclone cheap, apparently they are almost as good as the MIM models. If i get it i might drop an EMG 81 in the bridge and turn it into the Mutha of all Shredders.

do think fender will ever re-release the jagstang (most important), cyclone, or tornado.. thats probably the only thing i dont like about fender how they just stop production on really great guitars

they stop production becuz the only people that buy new guitars are rich old people, and they only like strats n teles.

only cuz it was in high demand,

i bet that they will re-release the cyclone and toronado, but not for a while, and not the same "standard" style.

I reckon the jag-stang will be reissued every few years or so, the only time they will properly discontinue it is when you see 12 year old kids wearing "Kurt's a fag" t-shirts or fitty cent overtakes Elvis, and i can't see those happening anytime soon.

i just dont feel like overpaying for the jag stang on ebay and not even being sure ill get the winning bid. But thanks for all your opinions.
