which humbuckers sound best clean? (this isfor a jag HH with 1M pots, so high output if fine - will still have plenty of highs)

The general rule is the higher the output the less clean the pup will sound, some will struggle to clean up even with your guitars volume low.

So, your best bet is a quality PAF like a 'Seth Lover' or '59's, maybe even a SD JB. But i would avoid stuff like EMG 81's, Duncan Invader or DiM Evo.

thanks. yeah, i mean that with them all at unity volume wit the guitars volume knob, which pickups are gonna sound great clean. I thought that pickups like the PAF's and JB's had allot of mids, so they overdrive easy? ...but i dont know that much about pickups
