Strat Pickups in a Jaguar; How can I make them fit?

I want to put some single coils in my Jaguar HH. Because Strat pickups are very similar to Jaguar pups, I started looking at them, and found a cheap set on GuitarFetish.com.

However, I'm worried about them fitting with a normal Jaguar pickguard. This is the one I'm planning on getting;

Is there any way that I can check to see if they'll fit? Would it be possible to swap the strat pickup covers with Jaguar pickup covers?

I'd appreciate any advice - I'd love to find out the right info so I can order ASAP!

im pretty sure theyre the same size but you should probably ask someone else seeing as i dont yet have a jaguar 😠

Reasonably common question that. No. Strat pickups have triangular bases that won't fit with the jag pickup claw attachment. Unless you can find strat pickups that don't have triangular bottoms, or don't mind cutting the edge off and potentially doing a fair bit of damage, I would look for some proper jag pickups.

Yeah, you can cut the triangulat point off, not all Strat pups have that base so i would look out for them. You may want to consider changing the pots as well, Strat pups with 1Meg pots will be very bright and trebly.

no more than jag pups i thought. and then theres the tone control which does just that. i thought that jag pups were almost exactly the same sonically as strat pups?

lace sensors would fit would they? Theyre not triangular.

Yeah, but they have a big metal thing on the underside of them that would stop you from putting the claw on, and you couldn't put a proper jag cover on them either because the covers they have can't be removed. But if you don't mind it looking a bit wrong you can put a Lace Sensor in, yes.

my jags bridge position has been routed for strat pickups, probably took a few minutes so you could find a local tech to do it for a few quid and open youself up for any strat pickup you fancy having.
