I'm thinking about making one from a warmoth neck and usacustom guitars body. the details of the custom jag is that it is a rear routed HH walnut body, with standard jage control plates minus the vol/tone plate which is replaced by a gibson style circuit, ill get a wiring diagram up in a few days... but basically what i plan to do is put a dimarzio steve's special in the bridge, and a seymour duncan p-rails in the neck.
then do a series/parallel switch (for both pickups in series) in place of the circuit selector
have the jag bass cut be in place of the rythim volume, so it is adjustable
have the master tone in place of the rythim tone
Then have 1 of the gibson style knobs be a gradual coil split for the p-rails,
and one of them be this wierd circuit i designed which i have absolutely no idea what it
sounds like because its never been used in any guitar before
and have volumes for each pickup
then the 3-way be a normal three way
have the 3 jag switches be
coil selector for the p-rails
series/parallel for the prails
Volume/tone/bass bypass
also, it will have the jag tailpiece, with a gibson tuneomatic bridge, and ill use a roller bridge
what do you think? Also, what am i looking at for the body? the didnt have prices for walnut on the site, and also itll be more rear routing and custom routing? what kind of tone does walnut have? ive heard its brighter than alder.
