Kurt's red Jag-Stang @ Fender Museum

I searched these forums and noticed that these photos of Kurt's red Jag-Stang prototype were not posted. These photos are from Fender's Museum in California from a few years back. It is my understanding that this is now currently on display either in Seattle or Cleveland.

On Kurt's drawing the surrounding information you see is for when it was scanned for "Journals". The "blacked out" area is contact information for Kurt and his guitar tech which was to not be printed in "Journals".

Note; The forum wouldn't let me post the photos directly because they are too wide.

OK, I'm confused. Why is the pic on the tag that came w/ my Jag-Stang AND the journals have the sketch w/ a sunburst finish, while those pics clearly show it in a sonic bluish colour???

**ok, nevermind. They are 2 different sketches. There's a bit of trivia I didn't know before. Guess they didn't use that one in the journals at all and Fender decided to use the other for the tag as well....

photo of the cuts is a prototype and the design of the museum is the final design

I don't currently have a camera to take a pic of my tag. It's the tag that Fender put on the Jag-Stang reissue in 2003-2004. One side has the sunburst sketch in my previous post and the other side can be seen in the pic below.

Nope, the museums attached to the factory in Corona, California.
