sloopdawg said: I remember going to the music store and there was this beautiful red Jag hanging there next to the Mustang. I really, really, wanted the Jag but when my birthday came around my dad had gotten me the Mustang, it was cheaper, seems like the price of the Jag was 375 or something like that, which was alot in '66. I was and still am happy with the Mustang but I can still to this day remember exactly what that Red Jag looked like hanging on the wall.
Ha Ha , Nice to hear we are all suckers when seeing guitars hanging on the wall, I did the same with my Les Paul P.90 dble cut, I saw it , thought, thats the guitar for me & went back with a loan from my nan ! Had it since 77, its seen a lot of action & still goin strong, no mods or repairs.
I saw Fender Strat in a shop last week, it was a sort of medium red clour with a cream binding & bound neck - the binding done it for me, it looked fantastic, not too fussed what it sounded like, but the look was out of this world - I nearly bought it .........
